Slumbo is a baby sleep tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. It keeps your log on your own devices, and shares it with your partner's phone only when you link up with them. It has no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it doesn't ask for your email, contacts or location.
What stays on your iPhone
Your baby's name, birth date and sex, and everything you log (sleeps, feeds, diapers, growth, health notes, milestones and their photos), are saved in Slumbo on your iPhone. Your Apple Watch gets the current sleep state and today's totals from your iPhone so the watch app and complications can show them. The home screen widget and the Live Activity read the same summary from your iPhone. Until you invite or join a partner, nothing you log leaves your devices.
Your partner
When you invite your partner or join their family, Slumbo asks you to sign in with Apple. We get an account id from Apple, not your name or email. From then on your family's log is stored in our database on Google Cloud (Firebase, in the United States) so both of your phones can show it: your baby's name, birth date and sex, everything either of you logs (sleeps, feeds, diapers, growth, health notes and milestones, but not milestone photos, which stay on the phone that added them), the name and initials you entered, and when each entry was changed. Only the two parents in a family can read it, and the partner code is a one-time, 48-hour code.
To update your partner's Live Activity while their app is closed, your iPhone stores a push token for its Live Activity with us, and our server sends the current sleep or feed state to your partner's iPhone through Apple's push service. Google and Apple process this data for us under their terms. We don't use it for anything else and never sell it.
Settings > Delete account deletes your account and takes you out of the family; if you were the last parent in it, the family's whole log is deleted from our database too. Settings > Delete all data clears this iPhone only.
Photos
If you add a photo to a milestone, Slumbo asks to pick it from your library and keeps a smaller copy on your iPhone. It reads only the photo you pick.
Purchases
The free week, Monthly and the Baby pass go through Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app only which plan you have, so it can unlock it. Restore purchases asks Apple for that again.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Slumbo schedules its reminders (a feed timer left running, the end of the free week) on your iPhone. They are not sent through us.
No ads, no tracking
Slumbo shows no ads, contains no advertising or analytics SDKs, and never asks to track you across other apps.
Crash reports
If you turn on "Share with App Developers" in your iPhone's settings, Apple sends us anonymous crash and performance reports. They don't identify you.
Children
Slumbo is made for parents. The log is about your baby. It is stored for you and your partner only, as described above, and is never used for anything else.
Your rights
You control your log: export it as a spreadsheet (Settings > Export to CSV), or delete your account with Settings > Delete account (the family's synced log is deleted with it when no other parent is left in the family). If you have a question or a request, write to us.
Changes and contact
We'll update this page before a new version of Slumbo changes what it collects, and change the date at the top.
